Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward #07 Vinicius Junior was the star of the show as he scored a hat-trick to lead his team to a 4-0 victory over Osasuna in La Liga. This win came as a much-needed confidence boost for the Madrid side, who had previously suffered defeats at home to Barcelona and AC Milan. The Santiago Bernabeu was alight with celebration as Vinicius’ stellar performance helped Madrid secure an important win.

Madrid’s victory over Osasuna was marked by Vinicius’ hat-trick, as well as a goal from Jude Bellingham. However, star striker Kylian Mbappe continued his goal drought with only one goal in his last seven matches. Injuries to Eder Militao, Rodrygo, and Lucas Vazquez further added to Madrid’s concerns. Despite these setbacks, Madrid managed to reel in Barcelona’s lead at the top of La Liga to just six points, with Barcelona set to face Real Sociedad the following day.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti praised Vinicius for his exceptional performance, stating that the Brazilian has often been the difference maker for the team. Despite not winning the Ballon d’Or award, Vinicius’ form has not been affected and he continues to deliver on the pitch. Ancelotti made tactical changes after the defeat to Milan, bringing Rodrygo into the starting lineup and shifting to a 4-3-3 formation. However, injuries to key players presented challenges for the team.

The match against Osasuna saw a frenetic start with chances at both ends of the pitch. Rodrygo drew a save from Osasuna’s goalkeeper before being forced off due to a knee injury. Defender Eder Militao also had to be substituted after suffering an injury, with concerns raised about his fitness given his previous knee injury. Ancelotti had to make adjustments to the lineup, bringing in 21-year-old Raul Asencio for his debut in response to Militao’s injury.

Real Madrid’s victory over Osasuna provided a welcome respite from recent disappointments and boosted morale within the team. Vinicius’ standout performance showcased his talent and contribution to the squad, while concerns over injuries to key players and Mbappe’s goal drought remain. With Barcelona within striking distance at the top of La Liga, Madrid will need to maintain their winning form and overcome challenges as they continue their campaign in both domestic and European competitions.
