Private jet charters experience a surge in demand during the summer months, with up to a 40% increase as UAE families and individuals seek cooler destinations. Group sharing of private jets for around four to eight people has become popular post-Covid-19 due to health and safety concerns. Private jet charter costs can be competitive compared to First Class ticket prices for long-distance flights, making them an attractive option for those prioritizing time efficiency and convenience.

Paul James from DC Aviation Al-Futtaim VIP Terminal noted a significant increase in demand for private jets to Europe during the summer, with a peak just before the season starts in the Middle East. Families and high net-worth individuals from the UAE often travel to popular destinations like Europe, the US, and other locations, leading to a spike in private jet charter bookings. Gama Aviation’s head of charter, Adam Neave, mentioned that various factors influence demand for private jet charters, with peaks during summer getaways and major events like sporting tournaments and entertainment tours.

Private jet charters offer the advantage of flying directly to smaller airports closer to the final destination, eliminating the need for ground transportation upon arrival. The pricing of private jet charters becomes comparable when accessing remote locations or maintaining flexible schedules not possible with commercial airlines. With increasing concerns about health and safety, group chartering of private jets has become a trend among travelers, offering a cost-effective solution for vacations, especially for long-distance trips.

Flying in a private jet charter is approximately 10 times costlier than a First-Class flight in a commercial airline, with prices varying based on factors like aircraft size, distance, and travel dates. Popular summer destinations for private jet charters include London, Paris, Nice, Cannes, Geneva, Zurich, and island paradises like the Maldives and Seychelles. High demand is also expected for Germany and Paris during global sporting events this summer, with Greece, Italy, and the Mediterranean remaining popular choices for travelers.

Overall, the demand for private jet charters continues to grow during the summer months, driven by factors like health and safety concerns, time efficiency, and convenience. Travelers in the UAE and the Middle East are increasingly opting for private jets to reach their holiday destinations, with group sharing of private charters becoming a cost-effective choice for vacations. As demand for private jet charters increases, operators are seeing a variety of peak periods throughout the calendar year, with summer getaways and major events attracting more bookings.
