Flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, is set to receive seven new aircraft by the end of 2024. In addition to this, the airline is planning to hire over 130 new pilots by the end of this year to support its network expansion. Ghaith Al Ghaith, the Chief Executive Officer of Flydubai, mentioned that the airline has grown its workforce to over 5,800 skilled professionals from 140 nationalities, with more than 1,200 pilots. The recruitment campaign aims to add more qualified personnel and talents to the team to facilitate the company’s growth.

The new aircraft delivery will enhance Flydubai’s network expansion by introducing new destinations such as Basel, Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius. With a young and efficient fleet of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft, Flydubai currently serves more than 125 destinations across 58 countries. Al Ghaith also highlighted the airline’s commitment to attracting young Emirati talents and placing them in suitable roles across various departments, contributing to Emiratisation efforts.

Flydubai’s first-ever wide-body order for 30 Boeing 787-9s at the Dubai Airshow in 2023 marked a significant milestone in the airline’s history. The continuous growth and development of the airline demonstrate its dedication to enhancing its services and expanding its reach in the aviation industry. By prioritizing the recruitment of skilled professionals and investing in new aircraft, Flydubai aims to strengthen its position as a leading airline in the region.

The recruitment of over 130 new pilots by Flydubai signifies the company’s focus on enhancing its operational capabilities and meeting the growing demands of its expanding network. With a workforce representing 140 nationalities, the airline prides itself on its diverse and skilled team of professionals. The ongoing recruitment campaign demonstrates Flydubai’s commitment to attracting top talent to support its growth and development in the aviation sector.

In addition to expanding its fleet and workforce, Flydubai continues to focus on Emiratisation efforts by providing opportunities for young Emirati talents to excel in various roles within the company. The commitment to employing local youth highlights Flydubai’s dedication to contributing to the development of the UAE’s aviation industry and fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment. By investing in the recruitment and training of Emirati talents, Flydubai aims to nurture the next generation of aviation professionals in the region.

Flydubai’s strategic expansion plans, coupled with its focus on recruitment and talent development, position the airline as a key player in the region’s aviation sector. The addition of new aircraft and the recruitment of skilled professionals will enable Flydubai to enhance its services, reach new destinations, and meet the evolving needs of its passengers. By continuing to invest in its workforce and fleet, Flydubai is well-positioned to maintain its growth trajectory and strengthen its position as a leading airline in the Middle East.
