The Ministry of Labour offers training courses for those seeking employment.

The Ministry of Labour recently organized a training session in collaboration with the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants (QACPA) to enhance the skills of local accounting cadres. The aim was to prepare Qatari job seekers, including graduates specialized in accounting, for roles in the private sector workforce. The training courses focused on internal audit and controlling tenders and financial contracts, in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 to establish a highly skilled Qatari talent pool capable of working in private sector companies and institutions.

Participants in the internal audit training were provided with an overview of the fundamentals and standards of internal audit and financial auditing. They were also trained on new tools and techniques for conducting internal analysis, audits, and budget auditing, as well as managing risks and achieving financial sustainability. The Tenders and Financial Contracts Control Course familiarized attendees with the administrative, technical, financial, and legal aspects of tenders, accounting contracts, and financial control. Additionally, participants were trained on auditing tender documents, monitoring financial contracts, and aligning tender prices with the financial plan of the institution or company, in accordance with laws regulating public and private sector contracts in Qatar.

The Ministry of Labour’s ongoing efforts to meet the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 involve boosting Qatari workforce participation and providing specialized training for employment in the private sector. By offering training courses on internal audit and controlling tenders and financial contracts, the ministry is equipping job seekers with the necessary skills to excel in accounting roles within private sector companies and institutions. The training sessions aim to qualify the national workforce and establish a highly skilled Qatari talent pool that can contribute to the country’s economic development.

The internal audit training course focused on introducing participants to the fundamentals and standards of internal audit and financial auditing. Attendees learned about the role of internal audit in managing risks and achieving financial sustainability, as well as how to use new tools and techniques for conducting internal analysis and audits. Similarly, the Tenders and Financial Contracts Control Course provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the administrative, technical, financial, and legal aspects of tenders and financial contracts. Attendees were trained on auditing tender documents, monitoring financial contracts, and aligning tender prices with the financial plan of the institution or company.

Overall, the training sessions organized by the Ministry of Labour in collaboration with the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants (QACPA) are part of Qatar’s efforts to qualify the national workforce and meet the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. By providing specialized training in internal audit and controlling tenders and financial contracts, the ministry is equipping job seekers with the skills needed to excel in accounting roles within the private sector workforce. These training courses aim to prepare Qatari nationals and children of Qatari women graduates specialized in accounting for employment opportunities in private sector companies and institutions, ultimately contributing to the country’s economic development and growth.
