The Ministry of Interior (MoI) recently conducted a workshop on preventive measures to combat security risks at the Civil Aviation Authority building in Doha. The workshop, titled ‘Enhancing Joint Coordination in Addressing Security Risks’, aimed to analyze past security cases to identify weaknesses and introduce innovative solutions. The event was attended by Airport Security Department Director, Staff Colonel Khamis Mohammed Al Muraikhi, as well as officers and representatives from various departments at Hamad International Airport.

Staff Colonel Al Muraikhi highlighted the importance of exchanging experiences and improving communication among HIA departments to enhance the security system and ensure passenger safety. The workshop focused on staying up-to-date with the latest methods to address potential security risks and maintain airport security standards. The event also emphasized the principle that security is everyone’s responsibility, and aimed to strengthen the efforts of competent authorities in studying security risks and developing recommendations for achieving security stability and operational excellence.

The workshop provided a platform for officials and participants to collaborate on identifying weaknesses in current security measures and exploring new strategies to enhance security protocols. By sharing experiences and improving communication among various departments at Hamad International Airport, the workshop aimed to foster a culture of continuous improvement in security practices.
