The Meteorology Department warns of strong winds and high seas

The weather in Doha, Qatar is expected to be hazy at first, becoming relatively cold during the daytime with some clouds and turning cold to very cold at night. The Department of Meteorology provided this information in its daily weather report, noting that the lowest temperature recorded was 9°C at Sudanthile station, while Doha experienced 15°C. Offshore, there will be partly cloudy skies with a chance of scattered rain, along with strong winds and high seas.

In terms of wind speeds, the department indicated that inshore winds will be northwesterly at a speed of 08 – 18 KT, gusting to 25 KT in some areas during the daytime. Offshore, the wind will be northwesterly at 10 – 20 KT, gusting to 25 KT at times. Additionally, sea states will vary with inshore levels at 2 – 4 ft, rising to 5 ft in some areas, and offshore levels at 3 – 6 ft, rising to 8 ft at times. Visibility is expected to be 4 – 10 km inshore and 5 – 10 km offshore.
