The Council of Ministers recently discussed the Social Protection Scheme in Oman, which aims to provide social care and support to enhance social solidarity and economic stability. His Majesty the Sultan emphasized the importance of closely monitoring the performance of the scheme and its programs to ensure effectiveness. The National Employment Programme was also on the agenda, with efforts being made to address challenges facing the program and integrate efforts among departments overseeing sectors that create job opportunities. The Cabinet encouraged the development of plans to accelerate the employment of the national workforce, particularly jobseekers, through localization and replacement initiatives.

The meeting also covered various social phenomena, challenges facing the population structure, and demographic developments in Oman. His Majesty instructed the Council of Ministers to conduct studies and develop specific programs and policies to address these challenges and find solutions. The government is focused on enhancing social and economic stability in the country by addressing issues that impact the daily lives of the population. This includes ensuring that the national workforce is effectively employed and reducing unemployment rates through strategic planning and implementation of initiatives aimed at creating job opportunities.

Efforts are being made to promote social solidarity and support marginalized segments of society through the Social Protection Scheme. The government is committed to providing necessary care and support to those in need, while also working towards achieving economic stability and growth in Oman. By closely monitoring the performance of the scheme and assessing its programs on a regular basis, authorities can ensure that the intended goals are met. Integration efforts among departments overseeing economic sectors that generate employment opportunities aim to accelerate the employment of the national workforce and reduce dependency on foreign labor.

In response to demographic developments and challenges facing the population structure, the Council of Ministers has been instructed to conduct necessary studies and develop specific programs and policies tailored to find appropriate solutions. His Majesty’s directive underscores the government’s commitment to addressing social, economic, and cultural impacts on society. By focusing on developing targeted solutions to these challenges, Oman can continue to progress towards a more stable and prosperous future for all its citizens. The government is working to create a comprehensive and sustainable strategy to address these issues and ensure the well-being and prosperity of the Omani population.
