Under the patronage of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the 15th edition of “Milipol Qatar,” the global exhibition for internal security and safety, will kick off on October 29. Organized by the Ministry of Interior, the event will witness the participation of ministers of interior from friendly nations, senior security leaders, experts, and specialists, as well as global companies specializing in internal security. Major General Nasser bin Fahd Al Thani, Chairman of the Milipol Qatar Committee, revealed that this edition’s theme is “Technology in the Service of Security,” highlighting Qatar’s dedication to leveraging technology to address security challenges and support Qatar National Vision 2030.

The three-day event will host seminars covering key security topics such as cybersecurity, civil defense, and airport and border security, with 15 presentations lined up for this edition. Over 250 international and national companies focusing on internal security and safety will be featured, along with six major international pavilions. An outdoor space will showcase the Ministry of Interior’s vehicle fleet, and the event is expected to attract over 350 official delegations, underlining its global significance. High-level delegations, military and security leaders, and government representatives will have the opportunity to engage and establish contracts with companies.

An international conference on artificial intelligence (AI) titled “Artificial Intelligence for Internal Security and Safety” is scheduled for October 29 and 30 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. Leading experts will convene to discuss AI innovations and ethics across four main themes: AI and smart technologies, AI in security work, AI ethics, and the security opportunities and challenges posed by AI. Qatar’s proactive approach positions it as a regional and global leader in addressing the complexities surrounding AI technologies, proposing recommendations for their positive regulation and use to support governments and technological advancements crucial for growth.

The Chairman encouraged specialists to attend the event to explore the latest technologies and products and engage with local and international companies. Exhibitors will unveil new systems and solutions, providing manufacturers of internal security and safety equipment with an opportunity to interact with decision-makers and security experts. Anne Fresinet, Director of the Milipol International Network, emphasized the importance of the event in adapting to the rapidly evolving security landscape, bringing together governments, industry leaders, and security experts to tackle ongoing challenges. Sponsorship agreements have been signed with leading companies, affirming their commitment to the event’s success.

In conclusion, Milipol Qatar serves as a vital platform for discussing current global security issues and showcasing cutting-edge solutions. The event, backed by the Amir of Qatar, underscores the importance of leveraging technology to enhance security capabilities. With a strong lineup of seminars, conferences, and exhibitors, Milipol Qatar 2024 promises to provide valuable insights, networking opportunities, and innovations in the field of internal security. The event’s theme of “Technology in the Service of Security” reflects Qatar’s forward-looking approach to meeting security challenges and supporting its national vision for the future.
