The Shura Council recently confirmed the leadership of several key committees during its regular session. Incumbents such as Khalid Al Masqati and Dr Mohammed Ali will continue to lead the Financial and Public Utilities and Environment Committees, respectively. Dr Jameela Al Salman has been elected as the new Head of the Services Committee, with Dr Mohammed Al Khuzaei and Redha Monfaradi retaining their positions as Head of the Human Rights and Youth Affairs Committees. These uncontested elections aim to ensure stability within the Shura Council as it begins its legislative agenda for the new term.

The Shura Council’s office has expressed its commitment to the development of the legislative process and working closely with the executive branch to achieve national goals. This commitment aligns with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who emphasizes the importance of strengthening legislative work and democratic practices. The office also highlighted His Majesty’s trust and appreciation for the legislative authority, pledging to enact and develop legislation that embodies unity and justice and supports comprehensive development in Bahrain.

Mr Al Saleh, head of the Shura Council, congratulated the newly elected heads of the council’s committees and encouraged them to continue their efforts in discussing and reviewing legislation. The council’s office discussed a list of draft laws and reports ready for discussion, as well as topics still under review by the committees. The agenda for the council’s third session was also reviewed during the meeting, outlining the topics to be addressed in the upcoming sessions.

The continuity of leadership within the Shura Council ensures a smooth transition as the council begins its legislative agenda for the new term. The leadership of key committees such as Financial, Public Utilities and Environment, Services, Human Rights, and Youth Affairs remains consistent, providing stability and experience in guiding the council’s legislative efforts. The commitment of the Shura Council to the development of the legislative process and cooperation with the executive branch reflects a dedication to achieving national goals and enhancing Bahrain’s democratic practices.

The Shura Council’s ongoing efforts to enact and develop legislation that embodies unity and justice are in line with the values of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. By working closely with the executive branch and maintaining the momentum of comprehensive development, the council aims to support the national agenda and contribute to Bahrain’s progress. With a focus on discussing and reviewing legislation, as well as submitting initiatives to enhance democratic and legislative progress, the Shura Council remains committed to serving the interests of the Bahraini people and promoting good governance.

In conclusion, the confirmation of leadership roles within the Shura Council and the commitment to developing the legislative process reflect a dedication to serving the interests of the Bahraini people and advancing the nation’s goals. By working in close coordination with the executive branch and maintaining a focus on unity, justice, and democratic practices, the council aims to support comprehensive development and enhance Bahrain’s legislative progress. With a strong emphasis on the importance of legislative work and democratic values, the Shura Council remains committed to enacting legislation that benefits the nation and upholds the principles of good governance.
