Shura Council attends permanent committee meetings of Arab Parliament in Cairo

A delegation from the Shura Council recently participated in meetings of the permanent committees of the Arab Parliament held in Cairo. These meetings were in preparation for the 5th plenary session of the 4th session of the Third Legislative Term of the Arab Parliament. The committees that the Shura Council participated in included a wide range of topics such as Social, Educational, Cultural, Women and Youth Affairs, Economic and Financial Affairs, Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Affairs, as well as Foreign, Political and National Security Affairs.

During the meetings, the committees discussed various items on the agenda for the upcoming plenary session. This included discussions on the Arab strategy for developing the school environment, a draft law to combat the phenomenon of bullying in the Arab world, as well as a draft law to combat illegal immigration. Additionally, the committees reviewed several reports related to their work. The Shura Council’s participation in these discussions highlights their commitment to addressing important issues facing the Arab world.

In addition to the recent meetings, the Shura Council also took part in the Palestine Committee meeting within the Arab Parliament. During this meeting, discussions focused on the latest developments in Palestine, including the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
