The Qatar ESports Federation (QESF) recently held its General Assembly meeting where Sheikh Nasser bin Khalid Al Thani was elected as the President for the new term of 2024-2028. Along with him, Mohammed Issa Mohammed Al Shuraim was elected as the Secretary General, and Sheikha Abeer bint Nooh Al Thani, Sheikh Turki bin Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Ali Abdullah Saad Rashid Al Kuwari, and Saleh Majed Saleh Mubarak Al Khalifa were elected as members of the Board of Directors. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and was attended by members of the General Assembly and QOC representatives.

During the meeting, the members of the General Assembly discussed and approved the minutes of the previous meeting. They also reviewed the QESF’s financial budget report, the 2023-2030 strategic map, and the 2023-2026 strategic plan. Additionally, the meeting focused on the tasks and duties of the QESF’s Sports Affairs Department and Marketing Department, as well as the mechanisms for implementing the project to develop electronic sports among various age groups. This shows the commitment of the QESF towards promoting and developing electronic sports in Qatar.

The election of Sheikh Nasser bin Khalid Al Thani as the President of the QESF marks a new beginning for the organization. With his leadership, the QESF aims to further expand and promote electronic sports in the country. As the President, Sheikh Nasser bin Khalid Al Thani brings with him a wealth of experience and vision that will drive the QESF towards achieving its goals and objectives in the coming years. This new leadership will help the QESF in implementing innovative strategies to nurture and develop electronic sports talent in Qatar.

In addition to Sheikh Nasser bin Khalid Al Thani, the General Assembly also elected Mohammed Issa Mohammed Al Shuraim as the Secretary General. This shows the importance of having a strong and capable team to lead the QESF towards success. With their combined experience and expertise, Sheikh Nasser bin Khalid Al Thani and Mohammed Issa Mohammed Al Shuraim will work together to steer the QESF in the right direction and achieve its strategic objectives. Their leadership will be instrumental in driving the growth and development of electronic sports in Qatar.

The General Assembly meeting also focused on the QESF’s financial budget report and strategic plans for the coming years. This demonstrates the QESF’s commitment to transparency and accountability in its operations. By reviewing and approving these reports, the QESF aims to ensure that its resources are utilized efficiently and effectively to support the growth of electronic sports in the country. This will help in attracting more attention and investment in electronic sports, further solidifying Qatar’s position as a key player in the global ESports industry.

Overall, the election of Sheikh Nasser bin Khalid Al Thani as President of the QESF and the appointment of other key officials mark a new chapter for the organization. With a strong and capable leadership team in place, the QESF is poised to achieve its objectives and drive the growth of electronic sports in Qatar. By implementing innovative strategies and fostering talent development, the QESF aims to position itself as a leader in the ESports industry regionally and globally. This will not only benefit the organization but also contribute to the overall development of electronic sports in Qatar.
