Gen Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Gharibi, Chief of Staff of the Saudi Royal Naval Forces, and his delegation at the Al Murtafa’a Garrison in Muscat. The meeting focused on strengthening military relations between the two countries and exchanging views on matters of common interest. The discussions were attended by senior RNO officers and the Military Attaché from the Saudi embassy in Muscat.

The Royal Navy of Oman and the Royal Saudi Naval Forces have a long history of cooperation and collaboration. Both countries share a strategic interest in maintaining security and stability in the region, and their naval forces have worked together on various initiatives to enhance maritime security and combat common threats. The meeting between Rear Admiral Al Rahbi and Lt. Gen Al Gharibi further solidified the strong ties between the two navies.

In addition to discussing military cooperation, Rear Admiral Al Rahbi and Lt. Gen Al Gharibi also exchanged views on other matters of common interest. This included sharing insights on maritime trends, exploring opportunities for joint training exercises, and discussing ways to enhance communication and coordination between their respective naval forces. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for both sides to strengthen their partnership and explore new avenues for collaboration.

The importance of naval cooperation between Oman and Saudi Arabia cannot be overstated. As two key players in the Gulf region, both countries have a shared interest in safeguarding their maritime interests and ensuring the security of vital waterways. By coordinating their efforts and leveraging each other’s strengths, the Royal Navy of Oman and the Royal Saudi Naval Forces can better protect their interests and respond effectively to emerging security challenges.
