The Saudi Ministry of Defense has signed an executive agreement with the Spanish Ministry of Defense to support the construction of three new multi-mission combat ships. These new combat ships are similar in technical and combat specifications to the five ships delivered in the first phase of the “Sarawat Project.” They are equipped with the latest combat and engineering systems to deal effectively with air, surface, and subsurface threats. The agreement also includes operational and tactical training for the crews of the new ships during sailing after delivery to the Royal Saudi Naval Forces.
