The Northern Municipal Council in Manama recommended a development and beautification project for the Hamad Town entrance during its recent meeting. The project focuses on enhancing the street leading to Roundabout 22, near the University of Bahrain’s main gate. This initiative aims to improve the aesthetics and functionality of the area, aligning with the Kingdom’s vision for sustainable development. The proposed modern design seeks to create a welcoming and visually appealing experience for residents and visitors alike.

Abdulla Ebrahim Al Thawadi, a Municipal Council member representing District 11, proposed the project with the goal of enhancing service projects and achieving sustainable development goals in Bahrain. The inclusion of flora such as bougainvillea or oleander trees, which thrive in Bahrain’s climate, is central to the beautification plan. Additionally, Al Thawadi suggests installing a model Formula 1 car near the Bahrain International Circuit location, reflecting the community’s passion for this prestigious motorsport event.

The project holds significance as the street serves as a vital area hosting events that attract tourists from around the world. By improving the entrance’s overall appearance, the project aims to elevate the area’s appeal and functionality. The recommendation made by the Northern Municipal Council now awaits approval from the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture. Once approved, the development and beautification project will enhance the Hamad Town entrance, creating a more attractive and inviting environment for all.

The proposed enhancements to the Hamad Town entrance align with Bahrain’s commitment to sustainable development and showcasing its beauty to residents and visitors. By incorporating modern design elements and lush greenery, the project aims to transform the area into a visually appealing and functional space. The inclusion of flora such as bougainvillea and oleander trees will not only beautify the entrance but also contribute to the environment’s sustainability. The installation of a model Formula 1 car near the Bahrain International Circuit location adds a unique touch that celebrates Bahrain’s connection to the renowned motorsport event.

Abdulla Ebrahim Al Thawadi’s proposal for the Hamad Town entrance’s development and beautification emphasizes the area’s importance as a hub for events that draw tourists from far and wide.
