The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the Israeli Knesset’s approval of draft laws banning the activities of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the occupied Palestinian territories. This move is seen as a dangerous precedent that goes against the principles of the United Nations and multilateral action. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar warns that this decision will have serious humanitarian and political consequences, especially for the millions of Palestinians who rely on UNRWA’s services in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria. Furthermore, it threatens the issue of Palestinian refugees’ right to return to their homes, which is protected by international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar also highlights the catastrophic humanitarian conditions faced by the Palestinian people in Gaza due to ongoing aggression and the obstruction of aid delivery. The Israeli occupation’s disregard for international laws and agreements, along with its continued commitment to committing crimes against children, women, and the elderly in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, is deemed unacceptable. International solidarity is called upon to put an end to the brutal war on the Strip and to compel Israel to comply with efforts aimed at achieving a just and sustainable peace in the region.

Qatar reaffirms its unwavering support for UNRWA and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital. The State of Qatar condemns the Israeli occupation’s targeting of the UN agency and its vital humanitarian activities, viewing it as a continuation of the systematic oppression of the Palestinian people. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes the need for international action to hold Israel accountable for its actions and to ensure that justice is served for the Palestinian people.

In the face of the Israeli occupation’s aggression and violations of international law, Qatar stands firm in its support for UNRWA and the Palestinian people’s rights. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar calls for global solidarity to address the ongoing crisis in Gaza and to push for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. It is essential for the international community to work together to end the suffering of the Palestinian people and to uphold their rights under international law.

The State of Qatar’s condemnation of the Israeli Knesset’s decision to ban UNRWA activities reflects its commitment to upholding human rights and promoting peace in the region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar stresses the importance of international cooperation and solidarity in addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and supporting the rights of the Palestinian people. By standing united against oppression and injustice, the international community can work towards a future of peace and stability for all people in the region.

In light of the escalating conflict in the occupied Palestinian territories, the State of Qatar reiterates its support for UNRWA and the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar urges the international community to take action to protect the rights of the Palestinian refugees and to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its violations of international law. By working together towards a just and lasting peace, we can create a future where all people in the region can live in freedom, dignity, and security.
