The State of Qatar is proudly representing itself at the 12th edition of the Libya International Award for Memorizing the Holy Quran in Tripoli, Libya. The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has sent a delegation including Khaled Waleed Ali Al Hammadi and contestant Mohammed Abdullah Ahmed Mohammed Kano to participate in the Quran memorizing competition. Kano, a student of the Ministry’s Holy Quran learning centers, has been prepared to showcase Qatar’s strong ability to memorize, master, and recite the Holy Quran on an international stage.

Director of the Department of Religious Guidance at the Ministry, Malallah Abdul Rahman Al Jaber, emphasized the Ministry’s dedication to participating in international Quran competitions. Qatar’s youth have consistently shown their skill and expertise in memorizing and reciting the Holy Quran, leading to numerous achievements in various competitions worldwide. Al Jaber highlighted Qatar’s success in competitions held in countries such as Algeria, Makkah, Malaysia, Morocco, Egypt, Ingushetia, Kazan, and Moscow, where contestant Hamad Abdullah Al Jamali secured a second-place win.

The Ministry’s commitment to training and preparing Qatar’s youth to excel in Quran memorization contests is evident in their participation in international forums. The Holy Quran learning centers established by the Ministry play a crucial role in nurturing the talent and potential of young individuals to represent their country with pride and excellence. The delegation sent to Libya includes a promising contestant who has been equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to compete at a high level.

Qatar’s presence at the Libya International Award for Memorizing the Holy Quran is a testament to the country’s dedication to promoting Islamic education and participating in meaningful cultural exchanges. By taking part in competitions such as this, Qatar not only showcases its youth’s proficiency in memorizing and reciting the Quran but also strengthens its ties with other nations in the region. The Ministry’s involvement in international Quran competitions serves as a platform for Qatar to demonstrate its commitment to promoting religious literacy and understanding.

As the competition unfolds in Tripoli, Qatar’s delegates are poised to represent their country with honor and integrity. The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs continues to support and empower Qatar’s youth to excel in Quran memorization, paving the way for future generations to carry forward the legacy of Islamic knowledge and scholarship. By participating in events like the Libya International Award, Qatar reaffirms its commitment to upholding the values and teachings of the Holy Quran on a global stage.
