The Qatar Media Centre recently concluded a three-day cybersecurity training course in collaboration with the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) as part of its summer programme. The course aimed to educate participants on the safe use of the Internet, social media, and the digital world. Eshraq Al Hazbi, a cybersecurity coach at NCSA, led the training and focused on increasing participants’ awareness of cybersecurity in response to the current digital transformation and widespread social media usage.

During the course, Al Hazbi covered important topics such as the principles of safe Internet browsing, understanding cyber threats, and their potential impact on both individuals and organizations. Participants were also equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively deal with these threats. In addition, they learned how to protect their personal data and how to identify suspicious and malicious users and activities online.

The Qatar Media Centre’s summer programme will continue with a training course on public speaking, set to begin on Monday and run for three days. Interested individuals can register for the course using the designated code available on the Centre’s digital platforms. The focus of the upcoming training will be on improving participants’ public speaking skills, a valuable asset in various personal and professional settings.

The collaboration between the Qatar Media Centre and the National Cyber Security Agency highlights the importance of cybersecurity education in today’s digital age. As more individuals and organizations rely on the Internet and social media for communication and information sharing, the need for cybersecurity awareness and practices becomes increasingly vital. By offering courses like the recent cybersecurity training, the Centre aims to empower participants with the necessary skills to stay safe and secure online.

In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, cybersecurity threats continue to pose risks to individuals and businesses alike. By staying informed and educated on best practices for online safety, individuals can protect their personal data and prevent falling victim to cyber attacks. The recent cybersecurity training course provided participants with valuable insights and tools to enhance their cybersecurity awareness and capabilities, ultimately helping them navigate the digital world more securely.

Moving forward, the Qatar Media Centre remains committed to providing educational opportunities that empower individuals to navigate the digital realm safely and confidently. By offering courses on topics such as cybersecurity and public speaking, the Centre aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today’s digital age. Through continued collaboration with experts like the National Cyber Security Agency, the Centre demonstrates its dedication to promoting cybersecurity awareness and best practices within the community.
