Police Academy offers counter-terrorism training course for female officers

The Women’s Police Institute at the Police Academy in Doha, Qatar recently concluded an anti-terrorism course for policewomen in collaboration with the Spanish National Police. The course lasted for five days and aimed to enhance the readiness of female police officers and civilian employees from various departments of the Ministry of Interior to handle different situations. Participants exchanged knowledge and experiences to stay updated with the latest developments in police work.

During the course, participants delved into essential topics such as cyberterrorism, its evolution, prevention strategies, methods used on social media platforms, and the risks associated with cyberterrorism and cybercrime. The goal was to equip the policewomen with the necessary tools to effectively combat these modern threats and protect their communities. Following the completion of the program, certificates were awarded to the graduates and the lecturers were recognized for their contributions.

The closing ceremony of the anti-terrorism course was graced by the presence of Brigadier General Abdul Rahman Majid Al Sulaiti, President of the Police Academy, and Lt. Col. Kholoud Anbar Al Nuaimi, Director of the Women’s Police Institute. This event marked the successful conclusion of the training program, highlighting the dedication of the participants and their commitment to enhancing their skills in the field of law enforcement.

The participation of female police officers and civilian employees from diverse departments of the Ministry of Interior underscores the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing in combating terrorism and cybercrime. By equipping these women with the necessary skills and expertise, the Police Academy aims to strengthen the security infrastructure of Qatar and stay ahead of emerging threats in the digital age.
