A delegation from Bahrain’s Council of Representatives, led by Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Rumaihi, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defence, and National Security Committee, along with Dr Maryam Al Dhaen, Deputy Chair of the same committee, recently embarked on a tour of top Chinese factories to strengthen ties in the industrial and technological sectors. The delegation’s first stop was at Skyworth New Energy Vehicle Group Co. Ltd., a major player in the production of electric vehicles. Skyworth’s focus on renewable energy aligns with China’s commitment to clean technology, showcasing the country’s heavy investment in this sector.

The delegation also visited Jiangsu Benchuan Intelligent Circuit Technology Co. Ltd., a company specializing in the design and production of high-precision printed circuits for industries such as automotive, electronics, and medicine. This visit provided valuable insights into China’s advancements in electronic chip manufacturing, a vital component in today’s digital economy. The delegation gained a deeper understanding of China’s progress in this area and its implications for Bahrain’s industrial growth and productivity.

Another highlight of the trip was a visit to Nanjing Dingzheng Packaging Materials Co. Ltd., a company focused on producing recyclable packaging materials. This aligns with China’s environmental objectives and reflects the country’s commitment to sustainability. The delegation acknowledged the importance of such initiatives in the context of Bahrain’s own environmental goals, emphasizing the potential for collaboration in this area to support the Kingdom’s sustainable development objectives.

Chairman Al Rumaihi commended China’s technological advancements, recognizing the value of gaining insights from the country’s progress. He emphasized the opportunity for Bahrain to enhance its industries and productivity through the adoption of cutting-edge technology and clean energy solutions. This visit provided a platform for the delegation to explore potential partnerships and knowledge-sharing opportunities that could benefit Bahrain’s economic growth and sustainability initiatives.

Dr. Maryam Al Dhaen also highlighted the potential for collaboration, noting that the innovative technologies observed during the visit reflect a future-focused approach to sustainability. She expressed a desire to leverage this knowledge to support Bahrain’s sustainable development goals and align with the Kingdom’s 2060 net-zero emissions strategy. The visit to Chinese factories has opened up avenues for cooperation and exchange of best practices, paving the way for stronger ties between the two countries in the industrial and technological sectors.

In conclusion, the delegation from Bahrain’s Council of Representatives has embarked on a fruitful tour of top Chinese factories, aimed at deepening ties in the industrial and technological arenas. The visits to companies such as Skyworth New Energy Vehicle Group Co. Ltd., Jiangsu Benchuan Intelligent Circuit Technology Co. Ltd., and Nanjing Dingzheng Packaging Materials Co. Ltd. have provided valuable insights into China’s advancements in clean technology, electronic chip manufacturing, and sustainable packaging solutions. The delegation’s recognition of the potential for collaboration and knowledge-sharing underscores the importance of such initiatives in supporting Bahrain’s economic growth and sustainability goals. This tour marks a significant step towards strengthening the partnership between Bahrain and China in key areas of mutual interest and technological advancement.
