On the day of the general referendum in Qatar, select shopping malls that house electronic referendum committees will open at 7am. This move is being undertaken by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Qatar Tourism in accordance with Decree No. (87) of 2024, which pertains to the call for a referendum on the draft constitutional amendments for 2024. The purpose of extending operating hours for these shopping malls is to ensure that citizens have access to necessary services during this significant period.

The shopping malls that will be operational from 7am on Tuesday, November 5 include popular names such as Doha Festival City, Landmark Mall, The Gate Mall, Mall of Qatar, Villaggio Mall, Vendome Mall, Lagoona Mall, Al Hazm Mall, The Mall, Katara – Galeries Lafayette, West Walk – Al Waab, Ezdan Mall – Al Wakrah, and Barahat Msheireb – Msheireb. These malls have been selected due to their role as locations for electronic voting committees, allowing voters to conveniently access the services they require on the day of the general referendum.

By providing extended operating hours for these select shopping malls on the day of the general referendum, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Qatar Tourism are demonstrating their commitment to ensuring that citizens have a smooth and hassle-free voting experience.
