Buhazza emphasized the importance of council members being included in decisions that impact their areas, especially when it comes to investments. He believes that good results can only be achieved through collaboration and working together.

Managing investments and public property is a key responsibility of the council, as it plays a crucial role in shaping the image of the country and ensuring that public money is utilized effectively. Buhazza highlighted the significance of having a say in the leasing of public lands, which could have long-term implications for the city. He stressed the importance of involving the council in the review of investment offers to ensure that decisions are made in the best interest of the community.

The deputy chairman emphasized that council members have a deep understanding of their districts and local needs, making them valuable contributors to the decision-making process. He cited examples of successful projects that were only possible because of the council’s involvement and support from the public. By excluding the council from key decisions, there is a risk of compromising the long-term care and management of public land in the city, which could have negative implications for the community as a whole.

Buhazza has called for urgent action from the executive body to rectify the situation and involve the council in discussions related to investments and public land use. He highlighted the importance of transparency and collaboration in decision-making processes to ensure that the interests of the community are safeguarded. By respecting the minister’s order and including council members in these discussions, the city can work towards achieving positive outcomes and effectively managing public resources for the benefit of all residents.
