The second edition of Visit Qatar’s Qatar Toy Festival broke attendance records with 100,000 visitors, marking a significant increase from the inaugural edition last year. The festival, which lasted for 31 days, concluded with a closing ceremony that included a performance by the local choir Rouh al Sharq. Hamad Al Khaja, Acting Head of Events and Festivals Technical Support Section at Qatar Tourism, praised the success of the festival, highlighting the diverse range of toy brands, mascots, performances, and competitions that were showcased.

Al Khaja emphasized that the festival provided opportunities for children of all ages to engage with their favourite toy brands and participate in various activities. The success of the event reflects Visit Qatar’s commitment to hosting a wide range of family-friendly events throughout the year, solidifying Qatar’s reputation as a premier travel destination for families. Head of Communications at Qatar Tourism, Buthaina Al Janahi, also expressed satisfaction with the festival’s success, noting the increase in both visitor numbers and exhibitors compared to the first edition.

The festival featured 10 themed zones with a daily lineup of live performances, competitions, and concerts, organized in collaboration with Spacetoon TV. Attendees shared positive feedback about the event, praising the variety of games for kids and the overall organization. Children enjoyed the different sections of the festival, with activities catering to girls, boys, anime enthusiasts, and families. International brands such as Barbie, Marvel, and Naruto participated in the festival, alongside new additions like Mr. Bean and Barney, offering entertainment for children of all ages.

The closing ceremony of the festival captivated the audience with a performance by the Rouh Al Sharq Choir, featuring popular SpaceToon cartoon songs and Qatar World Cup-related hits. Renowned Arab musicians, including Kuwaiti singer Humood AlKhuder and Syrian artists Tarek Alarabi Tourgane and Rasha Rizk, added to the festive atmosphere with their special performances. The festival’s vibrant and engaging activities, coupled with the presence of various mascots and international brands, contributed to its success in attracting visitors of all ages.

The festival’s growth in popularity was evident in the increase in attendance and the expansion of the event area to accommodate more visitors. International brands hosted colourful activities for children, while stage shows by singers and performers from the GCC and other Arab countries added to the entertainment value of the festival. The diverse range of games, decorations, and engaging activities received positive reviews from attendees, underlining the festival’s success in providing a fun and memorable experience for families.

Overall, the second edition of the Qatar Toy Festival was hailed as a tremendous success, drawing praise for its variety of entertainment options, engaging activities, and festive atmosphere. With a record-breaking attendance of 100,000 visitors, the festival solidified its position as a must-visit family-friendly event in Qatar. As Visit Qatar continues to host diverse events throughout the year, the success of the Qatar Toy Festival highlights the country’s appeal as a premier travel destination for families seeking fun and exciting experiences.
