Misk Schools, an educational institution in Saudi Arabia, has recently received international and national recognition for its excellence in K-12 education. Despite being a relatively new school, Misk Schools has been named one of the top private schools in the world by The Schools Index 2024, ranking among the top 150 globally and in the top 15 in the Middle East. This achievement highlights the school’s rapid rise and impact on the global education landscape. Dr. Steffen Sommer, Director General at Misk Schools, attributed this success to the school’s progressive curriculum, transformative experiences, and focus on developing leadership and critical thinking skills.

The Schools Index, curated by Carfax Education, is a prestigious annual publication that recognizes private schools worldwide for their academic standards, facilities, university preparation, and unique educational approaches. In addition to this international recognition, Misk Schools has also become the first school in Saudi Arabia to be accredited under the national standards and accreditation framework of the Saudi Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC). This accreditation, which evaluates areas such as School Leadership, Teaching and Learning, Learning Outcomes, and School Environment, reflects Misk Schools’ commitment to educational excellence and its collaboration with ETEC to enhance educational quality and efficiency.

Misk Schools, founded in 2016 by HRH Mohammed bin Salman, supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by preparing students to become future leaders through a comprehensive education that emphasizes knowledge, values, and skills. The school is accredited by Cambridge International Education, Cambridge Early Years, Pearson Edexcel, and High Performance Learning, and is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The Misk Schools Diploma, the school leaving certificate, is validated by Cambridge University Press & Assessment, further enhancing the school’s reputation for excellence in education.

Dr. Sommer expressed pride in Misk Schools’ recent achievements, stating that as the Kingdom’s first and only High Performance Learning school, the school has set an important benchmark for educational quality. These accolades underscore Misk Schools’ dedication to providing a progressive curriculum, transformative experiences, and fostering leadership and critical thinking skills in its students. The school’s growing influence both at home and abroad reflects its commitment to educational excellence and its alignment with international standards and best practices.

As Misk Schools continues to expand its presence on the global stage, it remains dedicated to providing students with a high-quality education that prepares them for success in the 21st century. Through its partnerships with international organizations and its commitment to excellence in education, Misk Schools is poised to continue its leadership in K-12 education in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
