Minister Al Khater emphasized the importance of continuing support for the Palestinian people, especially in the education sector, to ensure a bright future for the youth in Palestine. She also stressed the need for the international community to step up efforts to alleviate the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the occupied territories, which have been adversely affected by ongoing conflicts and instability.

HE Dr. Amjad Barham expressed his gratitude to Qatar for its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the educational sector in Palestine. He highlighted the challenges faced by Palestinian students and educators, including restrictions on movement and access to resources, which hinder their ability to receive a quality education.

The meeting between Minister Al Khater and Dr. Barham underscored the strong ties between Qatar and Palestine, built on mutual respect and a shared commitment to advancing the well-being of the Palestinian people. Qatar’s support for Palestine’s right to self-determination and statehood has been a cornerstone of its foreign policy, and the country has consistently advocated for a just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

As a result of Qatar’s efforts, numerous projects and initiatives have been launched to support education in Palestine, including scholarships for Palestinian students to study in Qatari universities and training programs for Palestinian teachers and educational administrators. These initiatives aim to empower the youth in Palestine and enhance the quality of education in the region.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to further strengthen cooperation between Qatar and Palestine in the field of education, through the exchange of expertise, knowledge, and resources. Both parties agreed on the importance of investing in education as a key driver of development and prosperity, and pledged to work together to overcome the challenges facing the educational sector in Palestine.

In conclusion, Minister Al Khater and Dr. Barham reaffirmed their shared vision for a peaceful and prosperous future for the Palestinian people, based on justice, equality, and respect for human rights. They emphasized the importance of international solidarity in supporting Palestine’s quest for independence and sovereignty, and expressed their commitment to working together to achieve these common goals.
