The Ministry of Labour’s Department of Qualifying and Skills Development recently participated in a career fair at Hayat Universal School in Doha, Qatar. The purpose of the fair was to expose students to various educational institutions across different academic disciplines, assisting them in selecting their future academic paths. This initiative aligns with the Ministry’s goal of connecting students and graduates with in-demand fields in the job market. This effort is part of the Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030, which aims to develop a competent and competitive national workforce.

The Ministry’s participation in the career fair was aimed at supporting students in identifying potential university majors, vocational readiness programs, summer training opportunities, and job qualification processes. By providing students with comprehensive information and insights, the Ministry aims to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to enter the labour market successfully in the future. This initiative is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to cultivate a skilled and motivated workforce, as well as a highly skilled expatriate workforce in the private sector.

The Ministry’s Qualifying and Skills Development Department played a key role in interacting with students at the career fair, offering them valuable guidance and information about various academic and vocational opportunities. By engaging with students at an early stage in their academic journey, the Ministry hopes to empower them to make informed decisions about their future career paths. This proactive approach is in line with the Ministry’s commitment to supporting the educational and career development of young individuals, with the ultimate goal of building a strong and competitive workforce in Qatar.

The career fair organized by Hayat Universal School provided students with a platform to explore different educational pathways and opportunities, with the Ministry of Labour’s participation adding significant value to the event. By connecting students with information about emerging job trends, vocational training programs, and job qualification processes, the Ministry aims to bridge the gap between education and employment. This initiative reflects a broader commitment to aligning educational outcomes with the needs of the labour market, ensuring that students are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their chosen careers.

Through its participation in events like the career fair at Hayat Universal School, the Ministry of Labour’s Qualifying and Skills Development Department is actively contributing to the realization of the objectives outlined in the Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030. By engaging with students and graduates, providing them with valuable insights and guidance, and connecting them with relevant educational and vocational opportunities, the Ministry is playing a crucial role in shaping a skilled and competitive workforce for the future. This proactive approach underscores the Ministry’s commitment to supporting the career aspirations and professional development of youth in Qatar, thereby contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the country.
