Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) has officially opened applications for the 15th cycle of its accelerator program, XLR8. The program, now in its tenth year, aims to help innovative thinkers and aspiring entrepreneurs evaluate the commercial potential of their tech-driven ideas and launch a startup. Participants will undergo boot-camp style training workshops, mentorship sessions, and other resources to explore market demand, gain customer traction, and attract investor interest.

The Program Manager for Acceleration at QSTP, Mohammed Zebian, highlighted the commitment to empowering innovators and entrepreneurs by providing them with the necessary resources and guidance to succeed in the tech industry. The program offers access to a network of mentors and coaches specializing in commercializing tech-based innovation. Participants will receive hands-on support to develop prototypes, refine business models, build customer traction, and craft effective go-to-market strategies.

Teams of up to five members, all residents of Qatar, are eligible to participate in the XLR8 program. Throughout the 14-week program, participants will focus on transforming their tech-based concepts into early prototypes through mentorship and workshops. Mentorship sessions will take place at QSTP’s Innovation Center, and participants will have access to co-working spaces to support their progress. The program is not open to already established private companies.

QSTP has announced special rewards for the top three winning teams of the cycle, including incorporation of their startup at QSTP and a paid intern to assist with product development. These rewards are designed to provide critical support for the winning teams to continue their entrepreneurial journey and bring their innovative ideas to life. Since its inception, the XLR8 program has launched 40 startups, benefiting over 200 teams and nearly 500 individuals with high-quality mentorship.

Applications for the XLR8 program are open until 23 January, with the program launching on 5 February. The program will culminate in Demo Day at the end of May, where participants will pitch their startup ideas to the public and potential investors. For more details about the program and to apply for this year’s cycle, interested individuals can visit the QSTP website.

In conclusion, the XLR8 accelerator program by QSTP offers a unique opportunity for innovative thinkers and aspiring entrepreneurs in Qatar to evaluate the commercial potential of their tech-driven ideas and launch a startup. Participants will receive valuable mentorship, workshops, and resources to develop prototypes, refine business models, build customer traction, and craft go-to-market strategies. The program is open to teams of up to five members, all residents of Qatar, and aims to transform tech-based concepts into early prototypes for entrepreneurial success. Special rewards are offered to the top three winning teams to support their journey towards bringing their innovative ideas to life. Interested individuals can apply for the program and take advantage of this transformative experience to succeed in the tech industry.
