His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), recently emphasized the importance of creativity, innovation, and the adoption of new technologies to meet the requirements of the labour market. He also highlighted the need to enhance the role of the private sector in the comprehensive development of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This initiative is led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Chairman made these remarks while attending the demo day for the ninth edition of the Young Entrepreneur (Mashroo3i) program, where finalists are set to receive grants to fund their projects.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman expressed pride in the innovative ideas and projects presented during the event, which are in line with the kingdom’s development aspirations. He wished the qualifiers good luck and success in the next stages of the program. Additionally, he affirmed the commitment of the people of Bahrain to utilising innovation and new technologies in entrepreneurship to improve the level of efficiency and quality of services, enhance productivity, and achieve excellence and success in developmental goals. The Young Entrepreneur (Mashroo3i) program, introduced by Tamkeen, is designed for Bahraini youth aged between 18 and 35 with entrepreneurial ideas or startups. The program offers training, advisory support, financial grants, and guidance from mentors and entrepreneurship experts to help launch and succeed in business ventures.

Since its inception, the Mashroo3i program has made significant contributions to enhancing and developing many startups in Bahrain, providing entrepreneurs with the necessary knowledge and expertise to expand their businesses across various sectors. Startup projects under the program include businesses operating in the healthcare, creative, and technology sectors. This initiative is part of Tamkeen’s efforts to develop the private sector by supporting enterprises and boosting productivity through technology adoption. The program aims to drive economic impact and sustainable growth, which are essential to Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for 2024. Additionally, it seeks to increase economic participation through employment opportunities for new market entrants and expand career development opportunities for the Bahraini workforce.

The Mashroo3i program continues to play a crucial role in fostering creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship among Bahraini youth, thereby supporting the economic growth and development of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The program provides a platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas, receive training, guidance, and financial support to turn their concepts into successful business ventures. It not only helps in creating promising opportunities for Bahraini citizens but also contributes to the overall development of the private sector by promoting technological advancement and productivity enhancement. By supporting startups in various sectors, such as healthcare, creative, and technology, the program aligns with market requirements and drives economic impact and sustainable growth.

In conclusion, the Young Entrepreneur (Mashroo3i) program led by Tamkeen has successfully nurtured and supported entrepreneurship in Bahrain by providing the necessary resources and guidance to young entrepreneurs. Through training, advisory support, and financial grants, the program has enabled many startups to flourish and expand across different sectors. By focusing on creativity, innovation, and the adoption of new technologies, these entrepreneurs are well-equipped to meet the demands of the labour market and contribute to the economic growth and development goals of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The ongoing efforts of Tamkeen in developing the private sector through initiatives like Mashroo3i are crucial in driving economic impact, boosting productivity, and broadening career opportunities for the Bahraini workforce.
