The Friends of the Environment Center recently organized a symposium in Doha focusing on the role of Arab youth in environmental volunteering. This symposium saw a considerable turnout of young individuals from both genders who shared their personal experiences and highlighted the importance of volunteering in the conservation of the environment. The participants expressed their dedication and commitment towards making a positive impact on both individuals and the community as a whole through their voluntary work. The Head of the events and programs department at the center, Zainab Al Shammari, emphasized the significant role that volunteering plays in building a strong and interconnected society.

According to Zainab Al Shammari, volunteering is a fundamental aspect of advanced communities and plays a key role in promoting social interdependence and creating a cohesive society. She stressed the various benefits of volunteering, such as improving the quality of life for individuals and the community as a whole, providing essential services like healthcare and education, preserving the environment, and organizing community events. Al Shammari highlighted the importance of volunteering in fostering core values of citizenship and affiliation, promoting understanding and cooperation among community members, and contributing to sustainable development and overall welfare.

The symposium participants shared their subjective experiences in volunteering, showcasing the positive impact that volunteering has on individuals and communities. They discussed the various efforts and initiatives they have undertaken to contribute to environmental conservation and emphasized the unique experience of volunteering as a way to leave a lasting positive footprint. The symposium served as a platform for young people to come together, exchange ideas, and inspire one another to continue their efforts in making a difference through volunteering.

Volunteering not only benefits communities, but also helps individuals develop essential skills, gain valuable experiences, and foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment and society. By actively participating in volunteering activities, young people can contribute to building a more sustainable and inclusive society, while also enhancing their personal growth and development. The symposium highlighted the crucial role that Arab youth play in environmental volunteering and underscored the importance of their continued engagement in such meaningful activities.

In conclusion, the symposium on the role of Arab youth in environmental volunteering organized by the Friends of the Environment Center in Doha was a successful and inspiring event that brought together young individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the environment and society through volunteering. The symposium served as a platform for participants to share their experiences, exchange ideas, and discuss the importance of volunteering in building a strong and interconnected community. Through their voluntary efforts, young people are contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive society, while also developing essential skills and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment and society.
