The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture recently signed a partnership agreement with the Brazilian government to implement smart Saudi digital technology and plant trees in the city of Jataí. This partnership was formed during the Ministry’s participation in the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance Summit in Goiania, Brazil. The Director General of the General Department of Entrepreneurship at the Research and Innovation Agency in the Ministry of Environment, Dr. Ali Al-Sabhan, highlighted the efforts made by the Ministry to support and empower entrepreneurs and emerging companies.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Sheikh, co-founder of the Net Zero platform, emphasized the impact of Saudi youth initiatives in pursuing Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative on other countries participating in the summit. This partnership marks an important milestone in international cooperation to preserve the environment and achieve sustainable development by transferring Saudi technology to calculate carbon dioxide absorption by trees and manage carbon emissions effectively.

The collaboration will not only enhance environmental sustainability but also emphasize the role of entrepreneurship in building emerging projects that contribute to growth and sustainability. It will showcase modern technical efforts and innovations that aid in planting digital trees. The Ministry’s representation at the summit included programs such as “Sidra,” “Sahaba,” and “Sunbula,” along with startup companies benefiting from these programs, such as the “Net Zero Platform.”

Saudi technical innovations, including the digital tree map, are the first of their kind in the Middle East region. These innovations can improve the humanization of cities, assist in building smart cities, calculate carbon emissions, and help maintain environmental balance. By utilizing these technologies, Saudi Arabia aims to promote a sustainable environment and contribute to global efforts towards environmental conservation.

Overall, the partnership between the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the Brazilian government represents a significant step towards promoting environmental sustainability and international cooperation in the fight against climate change. Through the transfer of Saudi digital technology, efforts to calculate carbon emissions, and the planting of digital trees, this partnership will contribute to building a more sustainable and eco-friendly future for both countries. The participation of Saudi youth in entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives further emphasizes the importance of empowering emerging companies and fostering a culture of environmental conservation and sustainable development.
