The Doha Falcons once again proved their dominance in the Global Champions League (GCL) by securing a win in Stockholm, following their victory in Paris the previous week. Riders Jerome Guery, Simon Delestre, and Julien Anquetin led the team to victory in round one with their impressive performances. Their horses, Quel Homme de Hus, Dexter Fontenis Z, and Z Ice Cube Z, wowed the crowd and helped secure the win for the Falcons.

Despite a rocky start to the season, last year’s overall GCL champions, Riesenbeck International powered by Kingsland, put up a strong performance in Stockholm. Christian Kukuk, Philipp Weishaupt, and Harry Allen represented the team and finished in second place with just four faults, albeit seven seconds slower than the Falcons. This strong performance allowed them to gain important points and reignite their championship hopes.

The Scandinavian Vikings also had a standout performance in Stockholm, earning their first podium finish of the year. Henrik von Eckerman, Nicola Pohl, and Evelina Tovek showcased their skills with King Edward, Catz de Sulpice, and Moeboetoe v/d Roshoeve, respectively. The Swedish crowd was delighted to see a local team perform well on the international stage.

Simon Delestre, the winning rider for the Doha Falcons, emphasized the team’s focus on the overall ranking in the competition. Despite setbacks and bad luck at times, the Falcon’s riders remain determined and continue to fight for success. Their consistent performances have put them in a strong position in the championship standings, currently sitting in third place.

With each competition, the Championship Standings see some movement, and the Scandinavian Vikings’ podium finish is a testament to their improving performance. The team has been working hard to secure a top position and their hard work finally paid off in Stockholm. Riesenbeck International powered by Kingsland Equestrian, as seasoned podium veterans, finished in second place and expressed their renewed hopes for the championship.

Overall, the Global Champions League event in Stockholm was an exciting and competitive showcase of top-tier show jumping talent. The Doha Falcons’ continued success, Riesenbeck International’s impressive comeback, and the Scandinavian Vikings’ breakthrough podium finish all added to the drama of the competition. Fans can look forward to more thrilling moments as the GCL season progresses, with each team vying for supremacy and the coveted championship title.
