Moaz had been hit by shrapnel during a bombing in his district in Central Gaza Governorate and was rushed to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital for emergency treatment.
Upon arrival at the hospital, Moaz was in critical condition, with a direct shrapnel wound in his chest causing severe bleeding. Dr. Al-Arini and his medical team immediately went into action, performing an emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and repair the damage. Despite being scared and shocked, Moaz underwent successful surgery and is currently recovering in the thoracic surgery ICU department. His family has been informed that he will recover soon, but will need to stay hospitalized for a few days for postoperative care.
