, successfully argued for the release of security camera footage from a private hospital in a drug trafficking case involving a doctor. The High Criminal Court responded to the request, stating that the footage could be crucial in proving the client’s innocence. The case involves three defendants: a 29-year-old doctor, a 24-year-old man, and a 34-year-old man. The doctor and the second defendant are accused of possessing and selling cannabis with intent to traffic, as well as possessing and using controlled substances, while the third defendant is accused of possessing and using the stimulant shabu.

The incident began when police received a report about a car disposing of items in a sewage pipe in Riffa. Tracing the car back to the third defendant led to his arrest and confession that he got the drugs from the doctor and the second defendant. He agreed to help police apprehend them, leading to a sting operation near the hospital where the doctor worked. The doctor was arrested after allegedly discarding a plastic container with a liquid believed to be a controlled substance. Subsequent searches revealed more containers with the same substance in the doctor’s car.

The doctor claimed that the drugs belonged to the second defendant, who had left them in his car before traveling abroad. The second defendant was arrested upon his return to Bahrain, and during the investigation, the third defendant admitted to multiple drug purchases from both the doctor and the second defendant. Phone records also uncovered several messages related to drug sales on the doctor’s WhatsApp account. The court is set to reconvene on July 9th, where defense lawyers will continue to argue for their clients’ acquittal based on evidence and testimonies presented.

The doctor’s lawyer maintains his client’s innocence, stating that he was not caught in a drug bust and that the substance found was a prescription medication. The second defendant’s lawyer asserts that her client was not in Bahrain at the time of the incident and had no drugs in his possession. The third defendant’s lawyer stands by her arguments for his acquittal. The release of the hospital camera footage could potentially be a turning point in the case, providing crucial evidence to either support or refute the allegations against the doctor.

In conclusion, the drug trafficking case involving a doctor and two other defendants continues to unfold in the High Criminal Court in Manama. The release of security camera footage from a private hospital could potentially shed light on the events leading up to the arrest and help determine the innocence or guilt of the defendants. The upcoming court session on July 9th will see the defense lawyers presenting their arguments and evidence to support their clients’ acquittal. The outcome of this case will depend on the strength of the evidence presented and the credibility of the testimonies provided. Stay tuned for further developments as the trial progresses.
