Capital Governorate Prepares for Ashura Season

His Excellency Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, the Governor of the Capital Governorate, recently highlighted the governorate’s dedication to collaborating with security and service departments in order to ensure the best services for mourners and processions during the Ashura season. He chaired a security committee meeting where preparations for the upcoming season were discussed. The attendees included Deputy Governor Mr. Hassan Abdullah Al Madani and Director-General of Capital Governorate Police Directorate Brigadier Isa Hasan Al Qattan, along with representatives from relevant security departments at the Ministry of Interior. The focus was on creating a secure and peaceful atmosphere during Ashura, showcasing Bahrain in a positive light.

His Excellency also announced that a coordination meeting will be held within the Capital Governorate to further discuss the arrangements for the Ashura season with various stakeholders such as the Jaafari Endowments, members of the Hussaini Processions Commission, and officials from mourning halls, as well as security and service authorities. This meeting will aim to ensure that all necessary measures are in place to guarantee the smooth running of events and to address any potential issues that may arise.
