Following the heartbreak of their Champions League semi-final exit, Barcelona now sets their sights on another crucial clash as they host arch-rivals Real Madrid at the “Luis Companis” Stadium in Montjuïc for yet another epic ElClásico this Sunday at 5:15 PM Mecca time. Barcelona enters the match atop La Liga with 79 points, while Real Madrid sits just behind in second place with 75 points. This encounter holds major significance for both clubs. Barcelona is looking to widen their lead to 7 points, taking a decisive step toward securing the title. Meanwhile, Real Madrid aims to close the gap to just one point, keeping their hopes alive for the league crown and giving coach Carlo Ancelotti a fitting farewell before his rumored departure at season’s end.

Barcelona’s 2025 Domination
Barcelona’s season has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows, but their resilience has been evident, allowing them to stay at the top of the table. So far, they have played 34 matches, securing 25 wins, 4 draws, and just 5 losses. One of the standout features of their campaign is their remarkable 15-match unbeaten streak, with their last league loss dating back to December against Atlético Madrid (2-1). Barcelona boasts the most lethal attack in La Liga, having scored 91 goals. Robert Lewandowski leads the league’s goal-scoring charts with 25 goals, while young prodigy Lamine Yamal stands out with 12 assists, further highlighting Barcelona’s well-rounded and dynamic attacking prowess.

Injury Woes Plague Real Madrid
Despite a season riddled with injury setbacks, Real Madrid has managed to remain in the title race. The team has played 34 matches, winning 23, drawing 6, and losing 5. While results have been inconsistent at times, Real Madrid’s fighting spirit has been on display in key moments, keeping them in the hunt for the league title. However, the team heads into this crucial fixture without several key defenders, as injuries have sidelined Antonio Rüdiger, David Alaba, Ferland Mendy, Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Carvajal, and Éder Militão.

Historic Clashes Between Barcelona and Real Madrid
The rivalry between Barcelona and Real Madrid is one of the most storied in football, and their meetings in La Liga have been legendary. The two clubs have squared off 260 times in the league, with Barcelona winning 103 times, Real Madrid taking 106 victories, and 51 matches ending in a draw. Given the fierce competition and history, here are some of the most unforgettable clashes from recent history between these two giants:
Barcelona 3-3 Real Madrid (2006/07)
Real Madrid 0-4 Barcelona (2015/16)
Real Madrid 2-6 Barcelona (2008/09)
Real Madrid 4-2 Barcelona (2004/05)
Barcelona 5-0 Real Madrid (2010/11)

ElClásico between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be streamed live on TOD, allowing viewers across the Middle East and North Africa to witness the thrill and intensity of La Liga.
