The Bahrain International Airshow recently celebrated the announcement of four Bahraini students who have been selected for the prestigious Endeavour Scholarship. This initiative will allow them to attend the renowned Space Camp in the United States next summer, highlighting Bahrain’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of space and science leaders. His Excellency Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, commended the scholarship winners for their achievements and emphasized the transformative impact of the program. He mentioned how previous participants have gone on to pursue careers in STEM fields, aligning with the program’s mission to inspire Bahraini youth in space and science.

Last year’s scholarship recipients, Hassan Abdulrahman Hashem and Maryam Al Awadhi, shared emotional testimonies about their Space Camp experience and how it impacted their lives. Hassan described the program as life-changing, emphasizing the technical and teamwork skills he gained through simulations and rocket design activities. Maryam, now pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, encouraged the new students to fully immerse themselves in the experience and embrace the challenges ahead.
