Bahrain Chamber seeks to strengthen trade partnership with the US

Sameer Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, recently emphasized the strong and enduring relationship between Bahrain and the United States during a roundtable discussion organized by the American-Arab Chamber of Commerce in Washington. He pointed out that the non-oil trade between the two countries exceeded $2 billion USD in 2023, with the United States ranking as Bahrain’s third-largest export partner last year. Nass highlighted the significant potential for collaboration between the Bahraini and American private sectors, particularly in sectors such as technology, renewable energy, manufacturing, healthcare, and financial services. He encouraged American investors to take advantage of Bahrain’s favorable economic environment and forge robust commercial partnerships.

In his address at the meeting, Nass underscored the importance of enhancing cooperation mechanisms between Bahrain and the United States to open up new growth opportunities for both nations. He stressed the need to increase trade exchanges between Bahraini and American businesses and promote collaboration in the private sector. The Bahrain Chamber aims to expand trade, investment, and industrial relations with its U.S. counterparts as part of its strategy to strengthen joint trade relations regionally and boost the Bahraini private sector.
