The closure of the turns at the Museum of Islamic Art Intersection on Al Corniche St in Doha, Qatar, was announced by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) for maintenance works. The closure will impact the turns for those heading left from Al Corniche St to Jaber bin Mohammed St and vice versa. However, traffic movement on Al Corniche St in both directions will be maintained. The temporary closure is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 12, starting at 2am and lasting for eight hours.

During the closure, users of Corniche Street coming from the intersection known as Al Meena I/S or Fateh Al Khair I/S towards the Islamic Museum I/S will need to use Museum Street and the surrounding roads to reach their destinations. This alternative route will allow drivers to navigate around the closed turns and access their desired locations without interruption. While the closure may cause temporary inconvenience, Ashghal ensures that traffic flow on Al Corniche St will not be significantly impacted by the maintenance works at the intersection.

As part of their ongoing efforts to enhance road infrastructure and ensure the safety and efficiency of transportation in the area, Ashghal is implementing maintenance works on the Museum of Islamic Art Intersection. By conducting these works, the authority aims to address any necessary repairs or updates that may be needed to improve the overall condition of the intersection and maintain its functionality. The temporary closure of the turns is a proactive measure taken by Ashghal to carry out the necessary maintenance in a timely manner.

Drivers and pedestrians in the affected area are advised to plan their routes accordingly and allow for extra travel time during the temporary closure of the turns at the Museum of Islamic Art Intersection. By following the designated alternative routes and being mindful of any detours or traffic changes, individuals can avoid potential delays and ensure a smooth and safe journey to their destinations. Ashghal’s announcement of the road closure provides advance notice to the public, allowing them to make necessary arrangements for their travel on the specified date.

The decision to implement the temporary partial closure of the turns at the Museum of Islamic Art Intersection reflects Ashghal’s commitment to maintaining and improving the road network in Doha, Qatar. By addressing maintenance needs promptly and efficiently, the authority demonstrates its dedication to ensuring the safety and convenience of all road users in the area. The closure serves as a proactive measure to prevent any potential issues that may arise from the condition of the intersection, providing a proactive approach to infrastructure maintenance and repair.

Overall, the temporary closure of the turns at the Museum of Islamic Art Intersection on Al Corniche St in Doha, Qatar, represents a necessary step in the ongoing efforts to enhance road infrastructure and maintain the functionality of key intersections in the area. By implementing maintenance works in a timely manner, Ashghal aims to address any necessary repairs and ensure the safety and efficiency of transportation for all road users. Individuals affected by the closure are encouraged to follow the designated alternative routes and plan their journeys accordingly to minimize disruption and maximize their travel experience.
