In a recent development in Doha, Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has appointed Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Meer as the Chairman of the Public Works Authority, also known as Ashghal. The decision, which was issued as Decision No (72) of 2024, is set to take effect immediately and will be officially published in the gazette.

This new appointment signals a change in leadership within the Public Works Authority, which is responsible for overseeing infrastructure development and public projects in Qatar. As the new Chairman, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Meer will be tasked with leading the organization and ensuring that it continues to fulfill its mandate of delivering high-quality infrastructure and services to the people of Qatar.

Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Meer brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role as Chairman of Ashghal. Prior to his appointment, he held several key positions within the government and private sector, where he has demonstrated his leadership abilities and commitment to driving progress and development in Qatar.

Under his leadership, the Public Works Authority is expected to continue its efforts in implementing projects that contribute to the country’s sustainable development goals and economic growth.
