The Algerian Products Exhibition held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center in Qatar was a major success, attracting both local and international visitors over its five-day run. The event, which showcased products from over 150 Algerian companies, highlighted the growing economic ties between Qatar and Algeria. The exhibition, which opened on October 22 under the patronage of Minister of Environment and Climate Change HE Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, featured a wide range of products spanning various sectors. Visitors were able to explore fresh produce, technological innovations, traditional Algerian fashion, and agricultural varieties, among others.

One of the standout success stories from the exhibition was El-Mordjene, a rising star in the chocolate spread market from Algeria. The brand, known for its natural ingredients and modern production techniques, garnered significant interest from Qatari distributors and consumers. With its recent expansion into European markets, particularly in France and Belgium, El-Mordjene showcased Algeria’s potential in producing high-quality consumer products. Visitors at the exhibition were impressed by the brand’s distinct hazelnut-chocolate profile and competitive pricing, making it a favorite among attendees.

In addition to El-Mordjene, traditional Algerian fashion also captured the attention of visitors, with intricate embroidery, fine craftsmanship, and elegant designs on display. Visitors engaged with exhibitors about bringing these unique fashion pieces to Qatar’s boutiques, showcasing the demand for traditional Algerian garments in the Gulf market. The exhibition also featured agricultural varieties, date-derived products, electronics, beauty, and cosmetics, showcasing the diversity of Algerian products on offer.

During the closing ceremony, certificates were presented to companies that exhibited exceptional products, recognizing excellence and innovation across various categories. Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Qatar H E Salah Attia highlighted the high standards maintained by participating Algerian businesses, signaling a commitment to quality and innovation. The awards ceremony underscored the potential for increased trade exchange and deeper cooperation between Qatar and Algeria, paving the way for future collaborative efforts between the two nations.

Overall, the Algerian Products Exhibition served as a platform to strengthen economic partnership and cultural exchange between Qatar and Algeria. With strong support from Qatar’s business community, the exhibition’s success may pave the way for future trade initiatives and collaborations between the two countries. As both nations continue to explore opportunities for cooperation, the exhibition’s achievements demonstrate the potential for mutually beneficial relationships and growth in the bilateral trade between Qatar and Algeria.
