The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is a day dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of drugs and the importance of combating drug trafficking. Lt. Gen. Mohammad Al-Bassami, the Director of Public Security in Saudi Arabia, emphasized the government’s commitment to protecting Saudi youth and national security from the threats posed by drug smugglers and dealers. He called on all members of society to remain vigilant and support the government’s efforts in the fight against drugs. Al-Bassami highlighted the global impact of drugs, psychotropic substances, and toxins, which give rise to various criminal and financial offenses.
