As part of a new initiative in Dubai, delivery riders will soon have access to air-to-water dispensers that can produce around 100 liters of drinking water per day. The initiative, a collaboration between the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) Group, aims to provide three air-to-water dispensers in the rest areas of delivery riders in the first phase of the project. These dispensers operate at a temperature of 30ºC and 65% humidity, utilizing technology that uses atmospheric humidity to generate safe drinking water.
This initiative is part of RTA’s larger program to construct 40 air-conditioned rest areas for delivery riders across Dubai. By partnering with Majid Al Futtaim, the safety of the rapidly growing delivery sector is expected to be enhanced, ultimately improving the well-being of delivery drivers. Several rest areas have already been completed, with the remaining ones scheduled for construction in three phases.
