The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) in Qatar has recently announced the launch of seven new programs for the Fall 2025 academic year. These programs, which range from bachelor’s to master’s degrees, are designed to provide students with hands-on learning and practical applications. The university has formed strategic partnerships with key national and international entities, including those in the aviation industry, to offer these innovative programs. Admissions for the programs are set to open in January 2025 for the academic year 2025-2026.

Among the new programs being offered at UDST are a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering (BSc AeroE) and a Master of Science in Telecommunication and Network Engineering (MSc TNE) at the College of Engineering and Technology. The College of Business will be offering a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management (BSc AM), which aims to equip students with a strong foundation in both business management and aviation-specific knowledge, preparing them for leadership roles in the dynamic aviation industry.

In addition, the College of Computing and Information Technology is introducing a Master of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (MSc DSAI). The College of General Education is launching two new programs: a Bachelor of Science in Teaching STEM and a Master of Science in Teaching STEM, both of which combine interdisciplinary teaching strategies with hands-on learning to prepare graduates for creating dynamic educational experiences.

Furthermore, the College of General Education will also be offering a Master of Science in STEM Education and TVET, a comprehensive two-year program designed for qualified teachers who wish to advance their expertise in both STEM education and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). These new programs have been developed in consultation with industry experts, academic leaders, and strategic partners to ensure that students are equipped with the skills needed for today’s workforce and are prepared to thrive in tomorrow’s ever-evolving job market.

Speaking about the announcement, President of UDST Dr. Salem Al Naemi expressed his pride in the new programs, highlighting the university’s commitment to providing applied education that meets the needs of Qatar’s rapidly developing economy. He emphasized the importance of hands-on learning in real-world environments and the value of professional connections provided by the university’s partnerships. This approach ensures that UDST graduates are not only educated but also prepared to succeed and make a meaningful impact in their chosen fields.

The launch of these new programs is in line with UDST’s mission to offer innovative and high-quality education that meets the evolving needs of Qatar’s economy. By providing students with practical skills and experiences, UDST is preparing them to excel in their future careers and contribute to the growth and development of the country. Interested students can look forward to applying for these exciting programs in January 2025 and embarking on a rewarding educational journey at UDST.
