With the reopening of educational institutions fast approaching in the UAE, major retail outlets are rolling out enticing back-to-school offers to attract parents. These offers include opportunities to win a year of school fees, scholarships, and other prizes. Some hypermarkets, such as Al Maya Supermarket, are also running initiatives like recycling school uniforms and collecting old textbooks for donation. Al Maya’s promotion, which runs until August 27, allows shoppers to enter a raffle draw by spending Dh50 or more at any of the outlets. The promotion aims to ease the financial burden on families by offering a year’s worth of school tuition to three lucky winners.

Other retailers, such as Carrefour, LuLu Hypermarket, Co-operative Society, Danube Home, and IKEA, have also introduced various offers on school essentials and children’s furniture. LuLu Hypermarket, in particular, has launched a month-long campaign that includes a scholarship scheme for students. By purchasing a minimum of Dh150 worth of school essentials, customers can enter a draw to win Dh10,000 scholarships. Additionally, LuLu is offering rewards like LuLu happiness points, free tickets to Dubai Parks and the Green Planet, and discounts on products sourced from around the world.

In line with its commitment to sustainability, LuLu has introduced a school uniform recycling program where community members can drop off gently used uniforms at designated points in its stores. The retail chain also provides a ‘Textbook take-back points’ initiative, allowing students and parents to donate used textbooks for redistribution to those in need. These initiatives not only support the community but also promote environmentally friendly practices. Retailers like Al Maya and LuLu are focused on giving back to the community and supporting the education and well-being of students during the back-to-school season.

With the aim of reducing the financial strain on parents and supporting the education of young minds, Al Maya Supermarket has launched a back-to-school promotion that includes a chance to win school fees worth Dh25,000 for three lucky children. The promotion reflects the company’s commitment to assisting families and promoting education as a pillar of society. Similarly, LuLu’s scholarship scheme and rewards program aim to provide financial support to students and their families through scholarships and discounts. By offering a diverse range of products and value combo offers, these retailers are making back-to-school shopping more affordable and rewarding for their customers.

In conclusion, the back-to-school season in the UAE is not just about shopping for school supplies, but also about community support and sustainability initiatives. Retailers are stepping up their efforts to attract parents and students with tempting offers, scholarships, and rewards programs. By participating in these promotions, families can not only save money on school essentials but also contribute to the well-being of the community through initiatives like school uniform recycling and textbook donation. As the educational institutions prepare to reopen, these back-to-school offers serve as a beacon of hope and support for families in the UAE.
