In its commitment to supporting its beneficiaries, The Labour Fund “Tamkeen” has announced an intensified monitoring plan to ensure the proper utilization of its support programs. This includes increasing monitoring visits, strengthening legal frameworks, and coordinating with relevant authorities. Several Tamkeen employees have been authorized as judicial officers to enhance follow-up procedures and work closely with other authorities to take action against detected violations.

Since the announcement of the new programs, Tamkeen has implemented a new monitoring plan to enhance oversight standards. This includes doubling inspection efforts on enterprises, maintaining communication with beneficiaries, and increasing coordination with the Ministry of Labour and relevant authorities to address suspected violations. A hotline has also been set up for individuals to report any suspicions of misuse of funds.

A proactive monitoring mechanism has been developed for wage support programs, combining advanced data science models with personal monitoring through site visits. An automated system has been updated with warning indicators to identify potential violations, such as discrepancies in employee numbers or enterprise size. Inspection visits to enterprises benefiting from wage support programs have increased, resulting in the discovery of numerous violations.

If funds misuse is detected, Tamkeen has the right to reclaim support funds or deny access to future programs for beneficiaries who violate terms and conditions. The Fund also has the authority to refer such cases to relevant authorities for further action. Visits are conducted to ensure compliance with support approval specifications, particularly for enterprises purchasing equipment with support funds.

Tamkeen urges both beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries of its support programs to report any violations or misconduct through designated channels. These include a whistleblowing hotline and email address. The Fund is committed to maintaining the integrity of its support programs and taking decisive action against any misuse of funds. By intensifying monitoring efforts and working closely with relevant authorities, Tamkeen aims to ensure that its support reaches those who truly need it and do not fall victim to misuse or fraud.
