Aldar Properties has recently announced a generous contribution of Dh1 million to a new partnership with Dubai Cares. This partnership aims to provide 10,000 children from low-income families across the UAE with essential school kits ahead of the 2024/25 academic year. This initiative demonstrates Aldar’s commitment to creating societal value and breaking down barriers to education for underprivileged children.

The collaboration will involve mobilizing volunteers, including 100 Aldar employees, to assemble the school kits that will be distributed to the students before the start of the new school term. The volunteering event is scheduled to take place on August 23, 2024. This marks the first time that Dubai Cares’ “Back to School” edition of “Volunteer Emirates” will be brought to Abu Dhabi, expanding the reach of this successful community engagement initiative.

Faisal Falaknaz, Aldar’s Group Chief Financial and Sustainability Officer, expressed the company’s dedication to providing every child with access to quality education and the necessary tools for learning and development. As a community-focused developer and owner-operator of schools, Aldar is proud to support Dubai Cares in its efforts to ensure that underprivileged children have the resources they need to succeed in their education.

Abdulla Ahmed Alshehhi, Chief Operating Officer at Dubai Cares, highlighted the importance of providing less privileged students with essential school kits. Not only does this enhance their learning experience, but it also helps alleviate the financial burden on their families. By supporting initiatives like Dubai Cares’ “Back to School” program, Aldar Properties is making a positive impact on the lives of thousands of children in need across the UAE.

In addition to the financial contribution, Aldar Properties is also actively involving its employees in the volunteering event to assemble the school kits. By engaging its workforce in meaningful community service initiatives, the company is fostering a culture of giving back and creating a sense of purpose among its employees. This not only benefits the recipients of the school kits but also contributes to employee satisfaction and loyalty within the organization.

Overall, the partnership between Aldar Properties and Dubai Cares is a testament to the power of collaboration in making a difference in society. By joining forces to support underprivileged children in their educational journey, these two organizations are setting an example for corporate social responsibility and community engagement. The impact of this initiative goes beyond providing school supplies; it is about giving children the opportunity to learn and succeed, regardless of their financial circumstances. Aldar Properties and Dubai Cares are paving the way for a brighter future for the next generation of students in the UAE.
