Summer Camp Finale: ROHM’s Animal World – Wild on Stage!

The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) in Oman is hosting its annual summer camp with a focus on the Animal World theme. The camp, which began on June 23rd, includes seven workshops aimed at inspiring children through various musical and artistic disciplines. The highlight of the camp will be a performance titled Animal World – Wild on Stage! on July 4 at 5pm in the main ROHM theatre. Children aged 7 to 14 from Muscat are invited to participate in workshops such as drama, singing, circus, theatre-dance, drums, props, and technology.

The workshops are led by an impressive lineup of international and local educators under the direction of Alessandra Premoli. Educators from Italy and Morocco are leading the music, circus, and dance theatre workshops, while local experts lead workshops such as drama, drums, and technology. In collaboration with Be’ah – Oman Environmental Services Holding Company, the Props workshop aims to educate children about recycling and the environmental impact of our actions. This partnership emphasizes the importance of providing children with quality workshops led by trained experts.

Alessandra Premoli, the director of the summer camp, expresses her excitement for the progress of the workshops and the children’s engagement with the theme of the animal world. She highlights the enriching experience of working with children from different backgrounds and ages. The camp aims to provide an engaging educational journey for the participants, allowing them to deepen their skills and understanding of theatre. The final performance on July 4 will showcase the talents and creativity of the children who have participated in the workshops.

The grand performance on July 4 at 5pm, titled Animal World – Wild on Stage!, will be the culmination of the two-week summer camp programme. Directed by Alessandra Premoli and the educators, the performance will display the children’s talents and creativity developed through their participation in the workshops. The camp’s theme of the animal world has captured the imaginations of the children, providing an engaging and educational experience for all participants. The summer camp at ROHM aims to inspire children through various artistic disciplines and foster a love and appreciation for nature and the environment.
