Saudi Arabia’s date exports increase by 9.9%, exceeding SR751 million in the first half of 2024

Saudi Arabia’s date exports have significantly increased during the first half of 2024, reaching more than SR751 million, a 9.9% increase compared to the same period in 2023. The country’s date exports included several countries that experienced a substantial growth in the value of exports. Countries such as Brazil, Norway, Italy, and Canada saw their value of date exports increase by over 100%. Germany also recorded a 91.5% increase, followed by South Korea with a 72% increase, Indonesia with a 50.1% increase, and Sweden with a 43.7% increase.

The increase in Saudi Arabia’s date exports can be attributed to the unwavering support of the country’s wise leadership for the palm and dates sector. Additionally, the National Center for Palms and Dates has played an effective role in enhancing the competitiveness of Saudi dates on the global level. As a result, Saudi dates have gained a strong presence in the global market, positioning the Kingdom as one of the leading countries in date exports.

One of the countries that saw a significant increase in the value of Saudi Arabia’s date exports is Germany, with a 91.5% increase. Other countries that experienced notable growth include South Korea, Indonesia, and Sweden. The increase in the value of date exports to Malaysia reached 32.6%, while the United Kingdom saw a 29.7% increase. Morocco and the United States also experienced growth in the value of date exports, with increases of 25.3% and 21.1% respectively.

The National Center for Palms and Dates plays a crucial role in promoting and supporting the palm and dates sector in Saudi Arabia. The center’s efforts have contributed to the increased competitiveness of Saudi dates in the global market, leading to a rise in the value of date exports. With the support of the country’s leadership and the effective efforts of the National Center for Palms and Dates, Saudi Arabia has solidified its position as a key player in the global date export market.

Saudi Arabia’s date exports have continued to grow and expand, with the first half of 2024 seeing a significant increase in the value of exports. The country’s dates have gained recognition and popularity in various countries around the world, with exports to countries such as Brazil, Norway, Italy, and Canada experiencing substantial growth. The support of the wise leadership and the efforts of the National Center for Palms and Dates have been instrumental in enhancing the competitiveness of Saudi dates in the global market, further establishing the Kingdom as a leading exporter of dates.
