The selections, made public on Tuesday, were determined by an expert committee focused on football development within the QSL. This initiative aims to elevate the standard of play and provide engaging entertainment for fans. The awards acknowledge individual brilliance and team cohesion during a key period of the season.

Qatar Stars League Recognizes Top Performers

Cosmin Contra, the Romanian head coach of Al Arabi, received the Best Coach award for the first time. His tactical approach and leadership were instrumental in Al Arabi’s performance during the assessed period. This recognition underscores the increasing international influence on coaching strategies within the Qatar Stars League.

Al Sadd’s Akram Afif was named Best Player, continuing his reputation as a key figure in Qatari football. Afif’s consistent contributions and impactful plays solidified his position as a leading athlete in the league. Meanwhile, Al Gharafa’s Senegalese defender, Seydou Sano, earned the title of Best Under-23 Player, showcasing the league’s commitment to nurturing young talent.

Individual Brilliance Highlighted

Beyond the major awards, the QSL also recognized exceptional individual moments. Jassim Al Hail, the goalkeeper for Al Arabi, secured the Best Save award for his performance against Al Ahli. His crucial stop demonstrated exceptional reflexes and contributed significantly to his team’s defensive efforts.

The Best Goal award went to Joao Pedro of Qatar SC for his strike against Al Gharafa. The goal was noted for its technique and importance in the match. These individual awards add another layer of excitement and appreciation for the skill on display within the league.

The Best XI of October and November

The QSL also announced the Best XI team, comprised of standout players from various clubs. The selected players are: Jassim Al Hail (Al Arabi); Ayoub Al Oui (Al Gharafa); Seydou Sano (Al Gharafa); Mowafaq Awad (Al Shamal); Ahmed Al Menhali (Al Rayyan); Mohamad Manai (Al Shamal); Driss Fettouhi (Al Ahli); Roger Guedes (Al Rayyan); Rodri Sanchez (Al Arabi); Akram Afif (Al Sadd); and Roberto Firmino (Al Sadd). This team represents a blend of experience and emerging talent, reflecting the overall strength of the Qatar Stars League.

The inclusion of players like Roberto Firmino, a well-known international star, further enhances the league’s profile and attracts a wider audience. The presence of young players like Seydou Sano in the Best XI also signals a positive trend for the future of Qatari football. The league continues to attract high-profile players, boosting its overall quality and competitiveness.

Additionally, the QSL’s focus on recognizing both established stars and rising talents demonstrates a commitment to long-term development. This approach is crucial for sustaining the league’s growth and ensuring its continued success. The Qatar Stars League is increasingly becoming a platform for showcasing both local and international footballing prowess.

The QSL has not yet announced a timeline for the next set of Best of the Month awards. However, the league is expected to continue this practice throughout the 2025-2026 season, providing ongoing recognition for outstanding performances. Observers will be watching to see if current award winners can maintain their form and if new players emerge as contenders in the coming months.
