Qatars Abdullah Ali Al Mutawa Al Hammadi has been elected as a member of the Executive Office of the Arab Shooting Federation for the 2024-2028 term. The election, which took place on the sidelines of the Federation’s General Assembly in Kuwait, saw Al Hammadi receive the highest percentage of votes, marking a significant achievement. Candidates from 11 Arab member states competed for seats on the Executive Office, with six members ultimately elected. Al Hammadi’s success reflects strong support across the Arab shooting community.

The General Assembly also re-elected Kuwaiti official Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi as President of the Arab Shooting Federation for a new term. Additionally, Egyptian Hazem Hosni and Moroccos Abdel-Azim Al-Hafi were re-elected as First and Second Vice President, respectively. Kuwaiti Obaid Salman Al-Osaimi was confirmed for a second term as Secretary-General of the Arab Shooting Federation, recognizing his valuable contributions and commitment.

During the meeting, the General Assembly outlined the calendar of upcoming championships, discussed plans to establish committees to support the Federation’s objectives, and set guidelines for appointing committee heads. Member states were also invited to nominate individuals to participate in these committees.

Al Hammadi, a member of the Qatar Shooting and Archery Federation Board of Directors, expressed his gratitude and pride in being elected to the Executive Office. He shared that the trust shown in him by the Federation members will drive him to work towards advancing the sport of shooting in Arab countries, focusing on technical development and training referees. Al Hammadi also thanked the Qatar Olympic Committee, led by HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, for their unwavering support of Qatari talents.

Overall, the election of Al Hammadi to the Executive Office of the Arab Shooting Federation highlights his dedication to the sport and the support he has garnered from the Arab shooting community. As he takes on this new role, his focus on technical development and training referees will contribute to the advancement of shooting sports in Arab countries. With the support of various entities, including the Qatar Olympic Committee and the Qatar Shooting Federation, Al Hammadi is poised to make a positive impact on the future of shooting sports in the region.
