Fahd Mohammed Al Khayarin, the Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs, led Qatar’s delegation to the conference. The event brought together representatives from governments, employers, and unions to discuss policies and legislation that ensure labor rights and contribute to social justice, including fair wages, working conditions, and health protection for workers. The agenda also addressed global obligations to achieve a balance between work conditions and basic workers’ rights.

During the conference, panels were held on various topics, including child labor and education, political responses to labor market challenges, women’s economic empowerment, and social justice in the independent business economy. The event also included an awards ceremony for social workers who have made significant contributions to advancing social justice and decent work.

It is essential to highlight the importance of promoting social justice and decent work around the world. By ensuring fair wages, adequate working conditions, and health protection for workers, societies can achieve a more equitable balance between work conditions and basic workers’ rights.
